Typotime - a typographic screensaver

This side project called ‘Typotime’ grew out of two passions of mine: the nature of time—how we perceive it, how we read it—and the world of typography and visual communication.

I became fascinated by the idea of merging the two into a clock that expresses time purely through words. Instead of reading ‘23:23’, it would simply say ‘twenty three twenty three’, functioning as a minimalist screensaver for my Mac. I designed the visual system with just one typeface, using two weights for hierarchy, and a strict black-and-white palette.

From there, I passed it on to my dear friend Christos Mousas, who enthusiastically developed it into a working macOS screensaver.
