“The Chemical Substance” of Life

Access to clean water is a fundamental human right—yet millions around the world are still denied it. Water, the simple yet vital compound H₂O, is at the center of one of the most urgent global challenges we face today.

In my poster design, I magnify the chemical formula of water, letting its elements form a bold, almost shouting presence on the page. The intention is to make the viewer pause and reflect on how essential this substance is—how our very existence depends on it. The design becomes a visual statement, highlighting the critical importance of ensuring that every person, everywhere, has access to clean, safe water.

This work is my personal submission for the conference and exhibition hosted by the Korea Institute of Cultural Product & Design in November 2019.
